Question for the Mature Women on Y!A?

As I may or may not of stated in earlier questions, I am a bit of a gym rat. When I go to the gym I normally wear a white t-shirt and some old soccer shorts. The problem is that the soccer shorts are a bit tight( not so tight that they are uncomfortable just tight enough to make my crotch stand out a bit) and well I noticed a few women were staring at my crotch ans butt. I don’t mind this one bit but today I asked two of them on separate occasions if my shorts were “shorty-shorts”. Its odd they both said no and they both told me that I should continue wearing them because they said it looked good on me. They weren’t being sarcastic either. I even said to they second one that maybe I should get baggier shorts and she said “oh no don’t do that I like the ones you are wearing now”. So women it seems that you like to stare at your opposite just as much as your male counterparts. Is this true? Thourough Answers greatly appreciated. 10 points for the best.

Women love to look at men just as much as men love to look at women… the difference is, most men would rather the woman be as close to naked as possible, and most women would rather the man be fully-clothed. Do you remember the ZZ Top song, “Every Girl’s Crazy About A Sharp-Dressed Man”? Well, the song is corny but the sentiment is true. Women love men who know how to dress themselves. Another point to support the clothing notion – women love men in uniform. They could see a guy on the street and walk past him without a glance, but that same guy in uniform suddenly has a much higher chance of getting noticed. If you’re a fireman, forget about it. My fave look is firehouse t-shirt, suspenders, turnout pants. It’s funny how the more a woman likes how you’re dressed, the more she might want to get those clothes off of you. Men, they just want to get the clothes off a woman either way. :)
Now, do women also like to look at men who are scantily-clad, so to speak? Absolutely they do, but I have noticed that women tend to like looking at chests, arms and backs. Women like butts okay, but they want them clothed. For example, I might look at a man and think that he has a nice butt in his well-fitting jeans, but I don’t want to see his butt naked. Same for crotches.
Don’t listen to all the women here who say that those women are just messing with you. Sure, they might have been being sarcastic and the joke was on you. But it is just easily a possibility that they were being serious. I know plenty of girls/women who would have said the same thing to you. And those women aren’t sl*ts, they just don’t have any problem speaking their minds.
Soooo… here’s the thing. The ladies actually might not have a problem with your “shorty-shorts”, but the other men in the gym might. Let’s face it… no (straight) dude wants to see another man’s tightly-compressed and bulging junk. Take inventory of what the other guys at the gym are wearing, and go with the flow. But hey, you know what? If the ladies like it… well, you just go on with your 10-yr-old Umbros and sport it like you got it. ;)

Does it seem like soccer aficionados speak a language all their own? It sure seems like it to me, and I’ve been playing the game for over 20 years. I put an article on the front page of this blog to help explain the most common soccer terms in plain English. Hopefully this list will help soccer moms everywhere (and soccer dads too, for that matter)to better understand what their little athlete is talking about! Click Here For Access: Soccer Terms.
